Cecilia Flores-Oebanda

For February, we celebrate Cecilia Flores-Oebanda and her contribution to stopping child labour and trafficking in the Philippines.

Celicia founded the We the Free organisation, which has rescued thousands of children out of forced labour and trafficking. She had also contributed to legislation in the Philippines related to laws and policies that would support children’s rights.

Iqbal Masih

Each month, we acknowledge the contribution of child rights activists to children’s well-being in Asia. For April, we celebrate Iqbal Masih and his contribution to child labour awareness in Pakistan. As a child labourer in debt himself, he was set free and gave other children the courage to leave their owners for their freedom.

Indira Ranamaga

Each month, we acknowledge the contribution of child rights activists to children’s wellbeing in Asia. For May, we celebrate Indira Ranamaga and her contribution to children’s wellbeing in conflict with the law in Nepal.
