From the moment my children wake up, they have a plan, a goal. Elsewhere in the world, children have one and the same goal every day: to survive. As long as this inequality exists, Terre des Hommes is needed.

Protecting children from exploitation is one of the most urgent tasks of our time. We must listen carefully and ensure that the voices of young people are heard.

As adults, we have a duty to take care of our children. In some places in the world, children are not taken care of. Instead, they are exploited.

No one should exploit children. A heroic approach is needed to get this out of the world. I am happy to contribute to giving so many children a better start in life.

It is the open-mindedness in children that often affects me the most. And children who are exploited can no longer look at the world open-mindedly. That is why I am glad that Terre des Hommes stops child exploitation and that I can help with that.

Children’s rights are still being trampled on. The worst violations of these rights are exploitation and abuse. Terre des Hommes has been fighting for children’s rights with heart and soul for years and I am happy to be able to contribute to this through a role in the Supervisory Board.
