Senior EU Advocacy Manager – Terre des Hommes NetherlandsPolicy change takes perseverance and persistence. It is also crucial to engage the voices of children in the process. We need their voices to create a safer world that works for them.
Nathalie and her work at Terre des Hommes
Nathalie is responsible for our EU advocacy on online child sexual exploitation at Terre des Hommes Netherlands, advocating for policy solutions and leading multi-country research on how to better protect children from online child sexual harm.
She has over 15 years experience in research and policy analysis on child rights and gender equality. She is also the Gender Focal Point at Terre des Hommes. In this capacity, she supports knowledge and capacity building on the gender and SOGIESC dimensions of child exploitation.
Our VOICE project has been a huge highlight for me.
Together with Eurochild and ECPAT International, Terre des Hommes Netherlands carried out consultations with 483 children across 15 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. We ask children their thoughts about online safety. The project culminated into an event in Brussels where we brought together policy-makers, NGOs, stakeholders and 10 children from the research to discuss on to make online spaces safer for children through policy change.
