We Won the Warriors for Good Awards
We are extremely excited and honored to announce that Terre des Hommes Netherlands officially received the Gold Award for Children’s Welfare Promotion and Youth Advocacy at the inaugural Warriors for Good Awards Gala, held on Friday, April 25, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya!
The Warriors for Good Awards celebrate organisations making a significant impact in areas such as children’s welfare, human rights, and social justice. This year marked the first edition of the awards in Kenya, organised by the Relinked Group.
Among many impactful organisations, Terre des Hommes Netherlands was nominated and shortlisted in the Children’s Welfare Promotion and Youth Advocacy category honoring organisations that protect the rights, well-being, and development of children and young people.
About the Warriors for Good Awards
The Warriors for Good Awards recognises individuals, organisations, and initiatives that are driving real change in society through innovation, sustainability, and social impact.
The Warriors for Good Awards is a platform launched by Relinked Group in October 2024 to honor those who are making significant contributions to social impact. The awards are an extension of the Relinked Social Impact in Action Forum Series and serve to celebrate excellence, resilience, and leadership in addressing society’s most pressing challenges.
Nominations included self-submissions, third-party recommendations, and selections by the awards team. Finalists were honored in a range of categories, with winners receiving Gold, Silver, or Bronze awards, and all finalists receiving recognition certificates.

Terre des Hommes Netherlands was shortlisted for the Children’s Welfare Promotion and Youth Advocacy category following a competitive nomination process held between November 8 and December 23, 2024. The judging process concluded in February 2025 and was based on:

Celebrating Our Impact
The Warriors for Good Awards Gala Dinner and Ceremony was an inspiring night of celebration and reflection. Guests enjoyed fine dining, live performances, and thought-provoking speeches from changemakers and social impact leaders.
Our Country Director, Magdalene Mwanza, delivered a powerful speech during the ceremony, reaffirming our commitment to ending child exploitation and encouraging everyone to play a role in protecting children in their own capacities.
This award belongs to every child and young person at the heart of our mission. It also belongs to our partners, supporters, and dedicated team members working tirelessly to create a world free from child exploitation.
We remain committed to protecting children by preventing and stopping child exploitation, and by empowering children to make their voices count.
