Marching together for gender justice, our Terre des Hommes Netherlands team and volunteers showed up at the #Lov3Laban 2025 Pride Festival in Quezon City, Philippines. We joined not just as allies, but as advocates for a world where girls and LGBTQIA+ children and youth are safe, celebrated, listened to, and empowered. It was a day of powerful celebration and a statement in support of every child’s right to be seen and supported, no matter who they are.

A Fight for Safety and Justice

The theme of this year’s march, “Laban, Halakhak, at Hustisya!” (Fight, Laughter, and Justice!), perfectly captured the spirit of the day. For us, this fight is a part of our commitment to ending child exploitation, whether it occurs online or offline. We believe that securing children’s safety and rights is the foundation for their freedom.

A Space to Be Seen and Heard

Our booth became a vibrant hub for connection and conversation. We invited attendees to join our games and share heartfelt messages on our community wall. Each interaction was an act of empowerment and a step toward building a safer community. The participants’ commitment to our call for stronger online protections through #LetChildrenBeChildren made a real impact.

This Pride, we didn’t just celebrate identities. With every step forward, we amplified voices, sparked vital conversations, and worked towards enabling inclusive spaces. We believe that protecting children from online abuse and empowering them in their diversity is not just a job—it’s a movement.

Together, we’re building a world where children can simply be children, free from discrimination and harm. We will leave no rainbow in the dark. 🌈
