    Head of Child Labour Programme

Every child deserves to grow up in safety and love—because only then can their dreams take flight, their voices rise with purpose, and their hands shape the just, green future our world so desperately needs

Ines and her work at Terre des Hommes

My interest in child labour began while working on the environmental and social impacts of global supply chains. Seeing firsthand how widespread and severe child labour—and other human rights violations—were across different commodities opened my eyes. It drove me to dig into the root causes of these issues and think about long-term, systemic solutions, building on my academic background in regional science and sustainability.

In 2021, I joined Terre des Hommes Netherlands, where I gradually deepened my expertise in child protection through advocacy, policy development, and collaboration with international partners.

Today, I lead the Child Labour Programme, focusing on systemic interventions that tackle the root causes of child labour. Guided by a strong commitment to social and environmental justice, I work with partners to create lasting change—so that every child can grow up safe, attend school, and thrive in a fairer, more sustainable world.
